Balghaiylam Public Realm, Abu Dhabi (ADM Development)
During my tenure at Dar Al‑Handasah, I contributed to the streetscape and public realm design of Balghaiylam — a large‑scale urban development in Abu Dhabi focused on creating shaded pedestrian networks, sustainable landscapes, and vibrant community spaces. The project required integrating climate‑responsive strategies with cultural identity to deliver a resilient and inclusive urban environment.
🌱 Vision & Scope
Establish a walkable, shaded streetscape framework aligned with Abu Dhabi’s Urban Design Street Manual.
Integrate green infrastructure to mitigate heat, improve air quality, and enhance biodiversity.
Create inclusive public spaces that balance modern urban vibrancy with Emirati heritage.
Support Abu Dhabi Municipality’s vision of a sustainable, people‑centred city.
